November Ipsy Bag
My November Ipsy glam has been my favorite one yet (probably due to all my intense reviewing).
My favorite product has been ModelCo's Highlighting Trio. It's a compact with three different highlights: Champagne (white highlight for above cheekbones and bridge of nose), Peach Bellini (peach highlight to be applied on tops of cheek bones), and Bronze (a deep tan shade to use to contour cheekbones). As a newbie to the highlighting and contour game, this product is easy to apply and build up, so I don't have to constantly worry if I have applied too much and look like a tiger. I suggest using your fingers to apply and blend or if you feel uncomfortable with that, a BeautyBlender .
Trèstique's Lip Crayon in Chile Red is so easy to apply and such a beautiful color. I have used Trèstique's products before and I love them. The easy pencil shape makes it easy to carry around and even easier to apply.
I was so excited to see Smashbox in my Ipsy bag. I'm in love with their primer. I was excited to try their Full Exposure Mascara. I love the wand, it's very full and the bristles are nice and compact for a fuller lash look. This mascara hasn't given me any clumps. The only thing is that if you're a waterproof formula fan, you won't find it here. Other than that, I love to layer this over other mascaras or wear it by itself.
Luxie Matte Eyeshadow Pan No. 290 is the perfect winter color. The deep plum color is perfect for a smokey eye and the formula makes it so simple (SO easy to blend!). This shadow also works well with water> I find that although most shadows say you can use water to make them intense, this actually pulls through for you.
Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with Figs & Rouge's Avancé+ Flawless Effects Skincare Mattifying Emulsion MT+ Sheer. I love face primers and I love to try them out, but this took mattifying to a whole new level. After applying my foundation over this primer, it would get crusty and come off my face. This has happened multiple times, with other products and by itself. I'm not sure if it's my skin or just the product.
Do you get Ipsy's Glam Bags? What did you get in yours? What was your favorite product? Did you have a problem with F&R's primer like I did?
