Ouai Wave Spray
I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THIS IN MY SEPHORA PLAY! BAG.
Okay, now that that is out of the way... Just like everyone else, I've been drooling over Jen Atkin's products since they dropped. But at $26 for only 5oz, I wasn't ready to splurge.
I. love. wave. spray. Or texturizing spray. Pretty much anything that will give my hair that beachy, wave-y look. For those of you who don't know me, I am very low maintenance with my hair. I don't understand how to blow dry my hair, straighteners confuse me, and curls usually fall out of my thick hair. I'm a wash and air dry kinda gal. If I want for life to my hair I reach for a volumizing/texturizing/wave spray. I spray it, play around with it, and go.
Also for those of you who don't know, I have used my fair share of different hair products. My mom works at a beauty distributer and will use samples from them. So, I like to think I know a quality product when I see one.
To be honest, I wasn't that impressed with Ouai Wave Spray. I wanted so much out of this, and maybe this was the problem, but I was left disappointed. It smells great! I love the scent of it so much. But as for it working, I'm not really sure it did anything.
But because I was so in love with the idea of this product, I'm going to keep using it. I've only used it on dry hair, but you can also use it on damp hair so I'll be trying that next.
Have you used any of the Ouai products? What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments or on Twitter!
------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE----------------------------------------------------------
I tried the Ouai Wave Spray on damp hair and I LOVE it. It really became everything I wanted it to be. Like it made actual WAVES in my hair! It's so great!
I didn't want to change my original review of this, but rather add to it.
I'm going to try it again on dry hair. Maybe it was just user error and I didn't shake it enough? Time will tell.
