I really enjoyed this book. I thought they were right when they described it as Mad Men meets The Devil Wears Prada. I mean, I haven't watched too much of Mad Men, but I've seen The Devil Wears Prada and read the book countless times. Kay is just like Andy if Andy had more females friends and a family.
I thought the book was a perfect mix of empowerment for women going after what they want and believing in themselves mixed with the nonmagical reality of reality. Although I knew how the book was going to end early on in the book, I enjoyed it anyway. I thought the dialogue was great. I love how Kay talks to a lot of the secondary characters and that each secondary character has a purpose to her life and the life of the novel.
Overall, I thought the story was so creative. Kay's hobbies are different and unique and I loved that. Her best friend, Kell, is so supportive of her and her dreams while embarking on her own in Paris. I just couldn't put this book down and I totally recommend picking it up. Right now, the book is on sale for $11.64!
