"Suzi - The First Lady of Nails"
THE GODS HAVE ANSWERED MY PRAYERS.
I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for an olive army green nail polish shade. YEARS. And OPI has graced me with this gem. When my mom showed me the fall collection, I had heart palpitations. I can't tell you the last time I felt so strongly about a nail polish collection.
So basically, the OPI Fall 2016 line is inspired by Washington D.C. and was co-designed by OPI's Creative Ambassador Kerry Washington. When I found out it was Kerry to was behind all the beautiful colors, I fell in love with the line more.
I really, really want to get the whole line. I'm hoping to get my hands on it.
What's really important, and the star of this collection is "Suzi - The First Lady of Nails." Suzi is the Creative Director of OPI. And this army green shade is everything I have ever wanted in a nail polish. I have been loving olive green as well as all neutral/earth tone shades lately. I don't know if it's me finally falling in love with my hair or what, but I love those tones.
I'm not sure, but I think OPI might have changed their formula. The nail polish seemed to be thinner than some of their other formulas. While usually I can get away with using only one coat, I 100% needed at least two. I kind of wish I went for three is some spots.
Overall, I LOVE this color. It's so unique. I don't own a shade like this and haven't seen one before, otherwise I would have bought it.
As I mentioned, I think the whole collection is beautiful, and if you can get your hands on it, do so. You can get them for $10 a bottle. Ulta also sells the mini 4 piece set for $14.50 which is great because when have you ever finished a full bottle of nail polished?
