Living Proof Perfect hair Day (PhD) 5-in-1 Styling Treatment
I've always been intrigued by Living Proof and that's all because of Jennifer Aniston. However, I don't really have a clue what to do when it comes to my hair. I have very easy hair. Most people praise how soft and healthy it is, how manageable. Plus, I have all the hair products I could ever want because of my mother.
I was less excited about the product when I read the directions: "Apply to damp hair, blow dry." I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BLOW DRY MY HAIR! I always air dry it! I am not coordinated enough to blow dry my hair. But, I did attempt so, for the blog (Another thing, am I suppose to apply this to clean hair? Can it be used on dirty hair? WHO KNOWS.).
So I applied the product from root to end and blew dry my hair after getting out of the shower (I didn't wash my hair. I only wash my hair twice a week.). My roots were so greasy. I felt so gross. But I thought maybe it was my fault. Maybe I screwed up blew drying my hair. So I resolved to try again.
This time, I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner, got out of the shower, applied the product and let it air dry. No grease! My hair is really soft and piecer. So that's that. Would I repurchase this? No. But that's because I don't do anything to my hair. I'll probably pass this product on to someone who I know will use it. It didn't make much of a difference to my hair that I'll want to use it again.
If you are someone who is constantly styling their hair and knows how to blow dry it (really, they should teach you about it in school), then you might want to check it out. It's suppose to smooth, volumize, condition, strengthen and polish your hair. I didn't notice any major volume because if I had, you know I would be keeping this baby around. As far as strengthening goes, that would be cool if that works. I lose hair all the time. But I'm guessing that only comes with continued usage. It's also suppose to keep hair clean for longer. Hmm, maybe I'll only have to wash my hair once a week?
It has these two molecules in it. "OFPMA envelopes each strand in a thin, invisible shield to make it stronger and healthier. PBAE creates extra space between strands of hair to make hair look fuller and more textured."
I do have to say, when I was tweeting (ranting) about how my hair was greasy due to this product, Living Proof reached out to me and told me I was free to email them and they could help me further with any instruction and how -tos for the product which I thought was very cool of them. And I have to say, their websites is one of the most helpful I have ever seen for a beauty product.
For only $15, I don't think it's a bad product to try if you're into styling your hair and are familiar with this kinds of products. You can use code IPSYDVB for a free travel-sized Full Dry Volume Blast with a $22 purchase.
