September Glam Bag: Glamazon
I was so disappointed in this bag. I thought the theme was great! I loved the idea and I was really looking forward to see where they were going to take it. When I think of a Glamazon I think of someone who uses all the best high-quality makeup and spends hours applying it. I think of sultry looks and hot nights out. But the glam bag itself should have been indication that I was going to be let down. I was secretly hoping that since the bag was so ugly that the products inside had to be amazing! No. They weren't.
Overall, I only received two makeup products. It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara and Seraphine Botanicals Guava Butter.
I was really happy with the mascara. It was my favorite product this month! It really lengthened my lashes and the brush/wand was practical and made it easy to also apply it to your lower lashes.
I actually liked the Guava Butter a lot more than I expected to. After working with it and figuring out the best way to apply it, I loved the amount of color it left on my lips and the color is perfect for those no makeup makeup days.
As you know, I got a nail polish this month. I was furious. I don't know what I have to do to stop being sent products. But after seeing the color, I was really into it. Trust Fund Beauty is starting to grow on me. I'm not fully there yet. I still have some problems with their formula, but I really love the unique shades they carry.
Living Proof has one of the best websites ever to use to see different styles and instructions on how to use their products. My own gripe would be that I wish they gave more directions when it comes to their actual product. I had no idea what the hell to do with it before I went to the website. Their Styling Treatment isn't something I would repurchase again, but I would be open to trying their other products that might suit me better.
I seem to be getting a lot of misses when it comes to moisturizers. I think this might be my least favorite product of the month. I really just don't like the smell it. That, and I didn't even know it was suppose to go on your face! I thought it was just a lotion. Naked Cosmetics is originally a makeup line and they are just breaking into skincare. I think it might need some work, but I'm curious to see how their makeup wears.
Overall, really disappointed in this glam bag. I just feel like lately I'm never totally satisfied with it. If this keeps up, I might have to cancel my subscription and try something else. What subscription services are you using? Let me know what you love about it and maybe I'll subscribe there!
