Essie's Getting Groovy

First, I have a correction to make: this is NOT Essie's Holiday Collection but rather their Winter 2016 Collection.

Now that that is out of the way, let's talk about this week's Manicure Monday. I am really loving this metallic nail trend, or really metallic anything. When I was younger I would paint layers upon layers of glitter polish to try to get the same affect. But that took forever and would flask off right away. Now, it's easy with nail polishes like this one from Essie's Winter 2016 Collection.

This shade is called Getting Groovy and I immediately thought of Austin Power's Goldmember when I read the name and saw the shade. This is the perfect "dirty" yellow gold metallic shade. It looks like old gold and screams a 70s disco party. I love this shade for fall. It would go perfectly with your other typical fall shades like burgundy, burnt orange, olive green, deep plum, and brown. So, if you're not into rocking a whole metallic manicure, you can use this on an accent nail with any of those other colors (even the shade I used last week!).
