The Summer of Good Intentions by Wendy Francis
Books with different perspectives always excite and scare me. I think it's hard enough to get inside of one character's head long enough to write a book about it and a completely different monster to try to get into multiple. This book has four different points of view.
Francis did a hell of a job of giving each character their own voice and making it different from all of the other characters. I really enjoyed reading from all of their points of view, but I related most to Virgie's.
This book will break your heart and keep on breaking it. If you think you can't catch a break in your life, you should see what these three sisters have to endure during just one summer. Of course, this is kind of expected when you gather three generations of family into a single summer home. I don't care that summer is over, this book was so enjoyable to read.
You can pick up a copy for $9.39. A book that's under $10? Just another reason why you must pick up this book!
