Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm

I don't understand this product. I don't get what you're supposed to do with it. I can't figure out what it's supposed to do and how to use it. For all I know, this is the best product out there right now. But I just don't know.

From what I understand, you can use this as a primer, before you put any makeup on. The texture of this product is very thick for a primer if you ask me.

But then it says you can use it as your last step of your makeup application. WHAT. You want me to put a balm on my face, on top of powder?? That's a big beauty no-no. You're supposed to apply this with a gently patting motion, with either your fingers or a sponge.

I don't know guys. Have you used this product? Teach me how to use it because I don't get it. I just don't understand what it's supposed to do. I didn't find that it made me glowier than usual (especially compared to the GlamGlow product I reviewed the other day!) or had my makeup last for a longer period of time.
