Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery
I have read this book before, a long time ago and never continued with the series. The reason I picked it back up again was because of the Netflix show with the same name. The show was so good that I wanted to pick it up again and give it another shot.
This book is beautiful in the way that Anne is just so in love with life and nature around her. Regardless of what happens to her or what she goes through, she always is excited to discover new things and is appreciative of her surroundings.
I can't believe that this is considered a children's book because I think the language is pretty advanced and can be confusing to follow at times. I have picked up the second book and I'm really excited to see where Anne's next adventure leads us.
You can pick up this book for $7.99. I think it's such a good book to read with your children that teaches so many lessons but is also just a fun read.

"Oh, it's delightful to have ambitions. I'm so glad I have such a lot. And there never seems to be any end to them - that's the best of it. Just as soon as you attain to one ambition you see another one glittering up higher still. It does make life so interesting."
