Huda Beauty Contour & Strobe Lip Set
I love Huda's Contour Lip Kits which I got for Christmas a few years ago and I was so excited when I opened this Christmas present from Ally! Her lip strobes are so interesting as they transform your whole lip look.
But let's not get too ahead of ourselves, let's start with the packaging. I think this is so cute and a lil kitschy for anyone who has a lipstick obsession (AKA me). This is such a cute piece to have out on your vanity.
Personally, I think Huda Beauty makes the best lip liners out there. They are super creamy that they just glide on. The pigmentation is so nice and matches the liquid lipstick well!
When it comes to Huda's liquid lipstick I have one major quip about it, and it's the smell. It's a sickly vanilla scent that is just too much for me. I normally like the scent of vanilla but I do not enjoy the way this smells. It's super strong and you can tell it's manufactured. Luckily, once it dries down, you can't smell it anymore. The formula of the lipstick is so lovely, though. It feels almost like velvet going on your lips and dries down rather quickly. The formula lasts and lasts even if you've eaten pancakes and hash browns!
I'm still on the fence about how I feel about the lip strobe. It looks so beautiful on and reflects light so beautifully. I just am not in love with how it feels. There is actual glitter in it so it can feel gritty at times. You can wear this by itself without any lipstick underneath but you have to finesse it just right because it can get a little streaky. And you will 100% have leftover glitter on your lips after you take this off.
For $25, this is such a good kit for anyone who already loves Huda Beauty or for someone who is just being introduced to the brand. If these shades, Trophy Wife (lip liner and liquid lipstick) and Shameless (lip strobe) they have four other shades to choose from. Although, some of them are sold out already!
