Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette
I was so excited to get this palette for Christmas! I have never used a Too Faced eyeshadow palette before and I was so excited to play with this palette.
I know Too Faced has some pretty popular palettes, but none of them have ever interested me until this one. The peachy-pinks and purples were calling my name and I wanted to play with them in the worst way which is how I got this eye look.
First of all, I love this packaging. It's very heavy and feels luxurious. I love the little peach clasps that you use to open it and you can tell this was made for a lefty because the left clasp goes up. (It's a weird thing I've noticed because I keep trying to push the right side up!) The mirror in the palette is AMAZING. I used it to do my full face of makeup, which I hardly do since so many palette mirrors are so weirdly shaped and small.
I know I've had an issue with Too Faced's scents before but I don't really mind this. I don't like it, but I don't hate it either. It's infused with peach and sweet fig cream and I just think the sweet fig smells almost musty.
The shades are SO beautiful! I love the layout of the shadows as well because they help makeup newbies create different eye looks so easily. You can easily create an easy daytime look or a darker look for a night out. The palette also includes a little guide for different eye looks that's so cute! This palette claims that it's an all matte palette, but on closer inspection, three of the shades have a little shimmer to them, but none that you notice once you apply them. I'm not bothered by it, but some people might be. The three shades are Peach Butter, Just Peachy, and Peach Sangria in case you were wondering.
You can get this palette for $45, which is normal for most palettes you find at Sephora. I know Too Faced just announced the White Peach Eye Shadow Palette, which is a sister palette to this one, but it doesn't interest me as much. What do you think?
