Tarte Color Splash Lipstick in Salt Lyfe
This is a super creamy lipstick. I really liked the way it left my lips hydrated without it slipping around. It's also really pigmented. I only had to apply one coat of this which is a great thing if you love the shade. But I'm not really into the shade they sent me.
Salt Lyfe is a mauve grey shade, which is pretty, but I don't think that this looks good on me. Gray undertones are hard to pull off, to begin with, because they can easily wash away any color from our faces. In the tube, it looks like a mauve shade, but when you wear it you can see those gray undertones. This is a very cool shade, in my opinion.
The formula for this lipstick comes from algae which helps lips look firmer and fuller. There is also shea butter to help keep lips elasticity and olive oil keeps lips smooth. The best part is that this lipstick formula is vegan.
They have a ton of other shades if you're in the same boat as me and aren't a fan of this particular shade. I like this formula so much, I'm going to find another of their 28 shades to pick up! This lipstick costs $21 which I feel like isn't a bad price for a brand that's sold at Sephora.
