MAC False Lashes Mascara in Extreme Black

I was kind of nervous when I got this product. The sample didn't look like much and I was worried I wouldn't like it. I was excited to see a MAC product in my glam bag, a little shocked even, but I wish it was a different category of product. When I think of MAC, my first thought isn't mascara.

I'm not a fan of the mascara wand. I prefer to have a wand that is fluffier and not as stiff as this one is. This wand is cone shaped and had super stiff bristles. The formula itself is wet but very black. It claims to be smudge-proof but with a formula this wet, I don't see that being the case.

This made my lashes look nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. I can see myself using this for my everyday mascara but I wouldn't reach for this for a special occasion I had or if I was going out.

The price is pretty decent at $24 for a full-sized version. I won't be repurchasing this mascara because I own other ones that I love more that I believe give my lashes more volume. But it makes me wonder if any of other MAC's mascaras are any good. What are your thoughts? Have you used a MAC mascara that you loved? Let me know in the comments!
