2018 Resolutions Recap & Saying Goodbye

2018 was a difficult year. I can't pinpoint one exact thing that happened that made this year different from the rest, but I'm glad it's over.
Looking back on the resolutions I made at the beginning of this year, I didn't really succeed at any of them. Surprisingly, I'm okay with that. I did a lot of other things that I'm proud of this year and I have my eyes set on some new goals for 2019. I'm excited about the new possibilities, breaking bad habits, and the memories I'll be making.
Here's a little refresher on what my 2018 resolutions were:
1. Volunteer
2. Watch My Spending
3. Get A Job In My Field
4. Reach 500 Followers On My Blog and Buy A Domain
5. Live Videos/Videos
6. Self-Care Sundays
7. Plan More
8. Read More Blogs
As I said, I have a lot I want to do in 2019. There is a lot of things I want to accomplish this year. And although it breaks my heart to have to do this, I have decided to temporarily suspend Beauty & A Book in order to devote more time to pursue a job in my field. I don't want to give a date of when I'll be back posting, but I hope to be back sooner rather than later. This was the hardest decision I have ever had to make and I went back and forth for weeks over it. This blog and my readers have become such a safe space for me and an outlet I adore very much. I know ultimately this is what's best for me right now.
I will be posting mini-reviews and makeup photos on my Instagram account from time to time so make sure you're following me on there. You can keep up with my life on Twitter too.
Thank you all for everything you have ever done for me. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I hope to see you all here when I get back.
Until then,
Julie xx
